We say initially because we want to see if this is actually going to be the date for all of this to get going. but tell us about the trial deadline as it stands right now. right. she did put a order in the court record for this case saying donald trump is now set for trial in the back half of august. so, not that long away. this is how cases begin, though. this is how you kick off a case, especially one that the justice department has indicated they want it to go to trial fast. nobody has come into court to argue, actually we need more time to take care of classified records issues or take care of other issues that might arise because it s a pretty complex date. that date could hold, it s extremely unlikely that it would. because this is a case with a lot of possibilities in it. there s clearly a timing issue. but there is a date on the calendar, and they re going to have to work backwards from that. we ll have to see what happens in the coming weeks whether that gets offtrack. mid
