Bucks police help hundreds of children this holiday This holiday season, when families seem to need the most during the COVID-19 pandemic, Bucks police officers stepped up to help out. Middletown, Plumstead and Quakertown police all hosted variations of Shop with a Cop events to help children in need this year. Additionally, Bensalem s first responders hosted a toy drive to help those in need. For these Shop with a Cop events, officers shop with children in need and help them purchase gifts using donated funds. In Middletown, officers helped twice as many children as last year s event, according to Officer Melissa Robison, who oversees the yearly effort. ....
