IU adds 3-star quarterback Josh Hoover to 2022 class

IU adds 3-star quarterback Josh Hoover to 2022 class Share this story Marc Lebryk-USA TODAY Sports After a run on defensive players to start the 2022 recruiting cycle, Indiana landed its first offensive prospect on Tuesday. And he’s a priority target at the sport’s most important position. With a verbal pledge from three-star Texas quarterback Josh Hoover, the Hoosiers now have a passer lined up for next year’s class. Hoover, a 6-foot-1, 206-pound native of Rockwall, Texas, chose Indiana over offers from SMU, Houston, Arkansas, Memphis, Tulane and Western Kentucky, among others. According to the 247 Sports Composite rankings, Hoover is the No. 36 overall quarterback in the 2022 cycle.

No. 1 overall: It s Lawrence … officially and finally Apr 29, 2021 at 08:26 PM Copied! JACKSONVILLE – What was long expected is official at last. Trevor Lawrence, widely considered the best quarterback prospect to enter the NFL in nearly a decade, officially became a member of the Jaguars Thursday night. Lawrence, who played collegiately at Clemson University, was the No. 1 overall selection by the Jaguars in the 2021 NFL Draft. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell made the announcement in Cleveland, Ohio – the site of the draft – shortly after 8 p.m. Thursday. Lawrence had been widely speculated to be the No. 1 selection by the Jaguars since the team secured the selection last December. But the team had not confirmed the selection before the draft.
