henry hays is the klansman who is charged with killing michael donald, then hanging the black youth s body from a tree near downtown mobile two-and-a-half years ago. he was arrested, and per the agreement, he was turned over to chris galanos. he wanted a capital murder conviction. he wanted henry hays to get the electric chair. in order to get a capital murder conviction, we re gonna need tiger knowles to show just how vicious this was. tiger was put in a prison out on the west coast, under a concealed name and so forth. so chris and i flew out there. in october of 1983, we interviewed tiger together, and i was forceful, but not abusive.
