Not a criminal case is that the criminal rules of evidence don t apply. so the senator can ask, well, how did you interpret it? what did you think the president meant when he said that? did you think that he was trying to get you to lay off the investigation? did it feel like an order? those questions wouldn t be allowed in a criminal proceeding. the senators can ask everything they want. steve, i don t know about you, but i love politics, and i love mystery, and here we have it right together. a mystery story. will james comey be stopped from testifying next week? will he have the cojones to lay it out for us, what we ve all been hinting at and guessing at? well, the white house exerting executive privilege would be politically crazy. it would be further evidence there s something to hide. besides the fact i think when you look at the president s tweets, his attacks on comey and his revealing what were the private conversations from his end is an act of waiving executive privilege ....
Republican colleagues. it takes real cojones to vote on a bill that they know provides nearly zero benefits for the american people. a double amputee, he noted he is someone with a pre-existing condition. it s the responsibility of me to be the staunchest advocate for people out there who have pre-existing conditions, and that is why i am an ardent supporter of this bill. nancy pelosi said republicans walked the plank. colleagues who have the mantle of being a moderate, you vote for this bill, you have walked the plank. from moderate to radical. and you are walking the plank for what? a bill that will not be accepted by the united states senate. it goes to the senate where republicans have a slim majorit majority. i sincerely hope of this bill passes, i pray it doesn t, that the senate won t mimic the house and tried to rush a bill through ....
we have been on the same one he bill: it is the war on terror. it is all about the war on terror. president obama went on the same one.e. you try to get additional support from congress, but they never wanted to vote on it. this has been going on for years and years. bill: udall wants a new updated vote. i don t understand why udall i wish he would come on. if you are going through the stuff, senator, have a little cojones and come on and explain. why doesn t he want the united states and other nations, because it is a coalition in syria, to fight isis? why doesn t he want that? he believes it will deepen our engagement in another war like afghanistan. bill: that doesn t make any sense. he is saying, bring it before congress, and he wants to voteon it down. h he is saying the president has no right. to have troops on the ground in syria. bill: in senator udall s mind, all right, we shouldn t confront isis in the middle east at all. correct. bill: how about bombin ....
Decades long advocacy for socialized health care schemes and things like that that conservatives generally don t like. but clearly the people that will come out of this looking the best in my opinion will be ben sasse, mike lee, jeff flake, mark kirk, people like that who stood up early and were like, dude, no chance, not getting on board with this guy and have been willing to criticize him. flake stood out. this is a guy who walked into a meeting with donald trump and needled him directly when he was speaking face to face with him about he was the other senator from arizona, not like the loser stuck in the p.o.w. camp. and jeff flake has a lot of cojones that people in politics are lacking at this point. but i would also say one of the things we re also grappling with here is that i know remembers who will publicly say they are voting for trump and privately be like no way that s happening. we ll see. we ll leave it there for tonight. ....
