So you can see what the water and sand has done to many of the roads here and many of the oceanfront properties along the beach. many of these properties are on stilts because of their past experience, but many of those stilts are made of wood. if it keeps raining, the soil can move and possibly damage the homes. that s why many people have evacuated here. take a look at the flooding here, you can see many of the trash cans, the street signs are completely under or very much covered by this water. i can t even go further in there because we don t know what s in that water now. but if i do, it will probably reach up to my knees. that is a lot of the flooding that residents will be dealing with, with this storm. it is expected that the winds are going to continue as well as the rain for the next 12 to 24 hours. right now this island is completely shut off. no one goes in, no one goes out. and people are under a mandatory ....
