Ocean Springs School District implementing mask mandate

The Ocean Springs School District held a special called meeting to vote on the mask mandate for students, staff, and visitors regardless of vaccination status.
Board President Joe Cloyd, board members Jim Smith, and Eric Camp voted for a mask mandate after reviewing recent delta variant data.
While board members Kacee Waters and Jim Patano did not agree to require masks for anyone.
The final vote was a three to two decision. For tomorrow’s first day of school, Ocean Springs School District will require masks while indoors and on school buses. ....
