The Beatles legend sat down for a chat with Conan O’Brien at the Tribeca Festival in New York Thursday, June 15, and, according to USA Today, complained a bit about the trend of longer concerts. He joked, “I blame Bruce Springsteen. I told him so. I said, ‘It’s your fault!’”
When Conan noted, “He ruined it for everyone,” McCartney agreed.
“We used to do a half hour. That was like The Beatles’ thing – and we got paid for it. I tried to work out, ‘Why was it so short?’ Well, because there was a lot of people on the (lineup),” he said. “When you went to a thing, if you were a comedian, the promoter would say, ‘How long can you do? Four minutes?’ And the guy would say yes. So we thought, ‘Half an hour – that’s epic!’ But that was it.”

ABC News(DENVER) Two men were hurt in an apparently targeted shooting on Thursday as revelers left downtown Denver following a parade for the Denver Nuggets, who won their first NBA title on Monday night.
The two men were hospitalized in serious condition, Denver Police Chief Ron Thomas said at a news conference.
Thomas stressed that the shooting is not linked to the parade, describing the shooting as people "armed with weapons, acting irresponsibly."
Brittany Gioso told ABC News she was on her way home from the parade with a group including her mom when she saw a man a few feet away pull out a gun.
She said she heard three shots and "ran and tried to take cover."
Gioso, a nurse, said her thought was, "Please don t shoot me in the back."
"It s just so sad," she said. "Immediately you just want to call your friends and your family . and tell them you re OK."

In November, The Boss released Only The Strong Survive, an album of soul and R&B covers. Now David Sancious, an early member of The E Street Band, has revealed in a new interview with Mojo that Springsteen’s getting ready to release another one.
“I’ve just worked on Bruce’s sequel to Only The Strong Survive. He’s got 18 more covers of Motown and classic R&B,” Sancious tells the mag. “And next year, I should be touring the album with Bruce.”
This isn’t the first time we’ve heard about a sequel to Only The Strong Survive. Not long after the original’s release he told Rolling Stone that Volume 2 was “probably three-quarters recorded.” This is the first report of a tour in support of those albums, though.

Izzard has signed on to play Allan Williams, the band’s first manager, who went on to be known as “The Man Who Gave Away The Beatles.” Speleers will play Epstein’s love interest, Tex Ellington.
As previously reported, Midas Man is currently in post production and recently brought on its third director, Joe Stephenson, who directed the 2023 film Doctor Jekyll. He took over the project after Vinyl director Sara Sugarman left, reportedly due to creative differences and scheduling problems. She took over the project from Jonas Åkerlund, who left the project in 2021 following disagreements with producers.

Stella/Getty Images(BOUTE, La.) A 28-year-old woman has been arrested for allegedly posing as a 17-year-old student and attending a Louisiana high school throughout this school year, authorities said.
Martha Jessenia Gutierrez-Serrano, 28, who was placed in the ninth grade, allegedly pretended to be a teenager so she could learn English, St. Charles Parish Sheriff Greg Champagne said at a news conference Wednesday.
"She was in school, she minded her own business, she did her schoolwork, she caused no trouble," the sheriff said. "She wanted to learn English."
Gutierrez-Serrano, 28, and her mother, Marta Elizeth Serrano-Alvarado, 46, both of Boutte, Louisiana, were each charged Tuesday with one count of injuring public records, the St. Charles Parish Sheriff s Office said.
Serrano-Alvarado allegedly used a fraudulent passport and birth certificate to enroll her 28-year-daughter at Hahnville High School in Boutte during the 2022-2023 school year, according to th
