More city buildings open; but wear masks

The city of Oak Ridge is opening various departments, but still taking some measures to ensure COVID-19 safety.
“After more than a year of active efforts to suppress COVID-19, I am announcing the effort to open for business. A review of all city departments and services has been conducted and although not at full capability, the following is a summary of various services,” City Manager Mark Watson stated in a news release.
Departmental services are continuing. City officials strongly urge citizens to conduct their business electronically, over the phone, and by mail whenever possible. City facilities will continue operations as below. For the safety of city employees and social distancing for customers, visitors may receive a temperature scan and inquiry about their current health. With the public health situation is rapidly changing, here are the latest updates affecting city facilities from Oak Ridge City Manager Mark Watson.
