Right before the election? we ve been waiting for some kind of guidance for months from the administration, and we haven t been able to get it from o. and b., we haven t been able to get it from the defense department. and yesterday, or the day before the labor department kicks in and says don t send out those notices. the notices are required by law. right. and here we ve got a department of federal government saying don t send them out. here s part of that statement. they said to employees of federal contractors, including the defense industry, is not required 60 days in advance of january 2nd, 2013 and it would be inappropriate given the lack of certainty about how the budget cuts will be implemented and the possibility the sequester will be avoided before then. will it be avoided? what can congress do and more importantly, what can the president do to stop this? the house has already acted. we passed a bill that pays for the first year of sequestration, which would move t ....
