UpdatedFri, Jul 23, 2021 at 8:58 pm ET Replies(37) FARMINGVILLE, NY At least one gunman kicked in a door, forcing his way inside of a Long Island apartment, and shot dead a man and two women, but left an infant less than a year old unharmed, Suffolk County police said Friday afternoon. Homicide Squad chief Det. Lt. Kevin Beyrer said police responded to the Overlook Drive home in Farmingville at about noon after a relative called 911, alerting them that they went to check on them and believed them to be dead. Officers found Richard Castano, 31,and Diamond Schick, 24, both residents of the house, and Nyasia Knox, 20, of Georgia, dead from gunshot wounds, police said.

Police are investigating a shooting that killed three people inside a residence in New York. The incident happened on Long Island just after noontime on Friday, July 23 in Suffolk County. Officers responded to 132 Overlook Drive in Farmingville after a family member called 911 at 12:06 p.m., police said. Officers found Richard Castano, age 31, and Diamond Schick, age 24, both residents of the house, and Nyasia Knox, age 20, of Georgia, dead from gunshot wounds, police said. A baby was found inside the house, unharmed. Suffolk police identify 3 people found fatally shot inside Farmingville home News 12 Staff Updated on: Jul 24, 2021, 3:25am Suffolk police have identified the three people who were found fatally shot Friday afternoon at a Farmingville home. Detectives say the two women and one man range from age 20 to 31. According to investigators, Diamond Schick and Richard Castano lived at the residence on Overlook Drive. The third victim was identified as Nyasia Knox, of Georgia, who was a friend of the couple. Loved ones of the victims say Schick and Castano were engaged to be married. Detectives tell News 12 the discovery was made at the home the home inside the Fairfield Hills South complex just after 12 p.m.
