YMCA gives late April events update, announces return of several programs

With the school year coming to a close and summer break just around the corner, the Hopkinsville-Christian County YMCA announced its plans for the month of April as the weather warms, businesses are continuing to open more to the public and everyone is gearing up for the summer.
The Y is beginning to offer more programs as the number of members visiting the Y and utilizing its programs has increased, according to YMCA President and CEO Sheryl Ellis.
âOur numbers are increasing, and we are thrilled to see everyone,â Ellis stated in a press release. âIt is busy around the Y as we continue to offer new programs and plan for the summer.â ....

YMCA to offer free movement program

KEENE, NH – The Keene Family YMCA is offering a free program to the community to get folks up an moving.
The Wintervention Challenge is a five-week program, that will offer free 20 minute videos five days a week. The videos will offer coaching and activity ideas, and will help hold people accountable to stay on track. Participants will have access to a weekly racking sheet as well as a Facebook group to connect with other program participants.
Y Senior Program Director Kelly Fluette says the challenge is designed to help people get their energy back between the mind, body, and spirit, in what has been such a trying period, referring to the COVID-19 pandemic. ....
