Grief, Anger and Trauma Over Discovery of 215 Indigenous Children Buried in Unmarked Graves in Kamloops
SHARE ON: Cowichan Tribes members protest along Highway-1 in response to news that Indignous children were found in unmarked graves in Kamloops
Members of Cowichan Tribes wearing orange shirts held a rally along Highway-1 in Duncan on Monday following last week’s news that the remains of 215 children had been found in unmarked graves at a former residential school in Kamloops
One of the organizers, Monica Patsy Jones, says the event was hastily arranged after people in the community began posting calls on social media for some kind of an event.
