At the time, there was high demand among mother-daughter duos in town to join the Ridgefield Chapter of the National Charity League, so Eichman told her daughter, Kelly, not to worry if the lottery didn’t pan out in their favor. Back then, members were selected by randomly pulling names out of a hat. ....
Next The Nutmeg Chapter of the National Charity League, Inc., based in Ridgefield, CT, created a winter wonderland of snow people for the residents of Laurel Ridge Health Care Center to enjoy. “We wanted to find a way to bring joy to members of our community, some of whom are affected more than others, by sheltering in place during the COVID-19 pandemic”, stated Becky Smith, Nutmeg Chapter Liaison to Laurel Ridge Health Care Center. “What better way to put a smile on the faces of Laurel Ridge residents than creating fun snow people right outside the facility’s windows!” The National Charity League is a nationwide organization comprised of mothers and daughters who come together in a commitment to community service, leadership development and enrichment through cultural experiences.
