Odin doesn t need anyone to tell him he s a good boy. He s got the awards to prove it.
Odin, a purebred basset hound owned by Novia Staviski, of Lindley, had a chance to take part in the prestigious Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show over the weekend and even picked up an honor.
Odin, whose official registered name is GCH (Grand Champion) Renaissance Versailles, captured an award of merit in Best of Breed competition for basset hounds during the nationally televised event.
Just having an opportunity to compete at that level is a real thrill, said Staviski, who adopted the now-6-year-old dog from a Michigan breeder when he was a puppy.
