Reflections on UN Food Systems Summit progress to date Share on London, 3 May 2021 - So, we are 13 weeks away from the UN Food Systems Pre-Summit, hosted by the Government of Italy in July. How are things going?
First, some basics if you are new to this: UN Secretary General Guterres has called a Summit in September of all UN member states to address how to make food systems better able to tackling global hunger and malnutrition (static or on the rise prior to COVID and now rising fast due to COVID-19) while sustainably operating within planetary boundaries. He asked Dr. Agnes Kalibata to be the Special Envoy for the Summit. ....

Returning for its third year, the ground-breaking US$100,000 GoGettaz Agripreneur Prize Competition continues to inspire agrifood entrepreneurs from Cape Town to Cairo to use their energy, courage and creativity to solve the biggest problems facing Africa’s food systems. Launching on 19 April 2021, this year’s competition aims to expand the GoGettaz community of agripreneurs, providing them with access to education, mentorship and investment networks as they launch, grow, or scale their agrifood ventures. GoGettaz Agripreneur Prize competition is back; applications now open Shares The GoGettaz Agripreneur Prize Competition is back for the third year, to inspire agrifood entrepreneurs in Africa to use their energy creativity to solve problems facing Africa’s food systems. This year’s competition launched on 19 April 2021. The competition aims to expand the GoGettaz community of agripreneurs, providing them with access to education, mentorship and investment networks as they launch, grow, or scale their agrifood ventures.
