The company behind the Rose of Tralee festival has been plunged into turmoil after the initiation of a lawsuit by one of its shareholders seeking the repayment of a loan of close to €100,000.
The Rose of Tralee’s ‘Armageddon act’ now seems a regular post-festival tradition to try and reignite attempts to boost investment. The recent comments by Rose of Tralee Chief Executive Anthony O’Gara that Dublin is a possible venue for the coveted Rose selection series hit a nerve, and rightly so.
