Mobile coffee companies can park up outside your house

If lockdowns have taught us anything, it’s how many small things we once took for granted. Like good coffee. And not just the taste of proper, barista-made coffee, but the café culture that goes with it.
While café doors are closed, there may be a new remedy to satisfy our coffee cravings – mobile baristas delivering freshly-made drinks right to our doors.
I discovered the service in the form of Really Awesome Coffee, which has 60 vans run by franchisees across the country. On a quiet Wednesday last week, Corinne Mason, who owns the franchise for Rugby in Warwickshire, pulled up outside to serve me a toffee nut latte – and some soup. Laden with hot and cold savoury snacks and sweet treats, her van provided me a much-needed break from the same four walls, and a bit of human interaction, too.
