According to the Norwalk Police Department press release, the investigation began on October 10, 2020, when Norwalk Police Dispatch could not reach Officers Michael Dimeglio and Sara Laudano on the police radio or on Laudano s cell phone at 12:47 am.
Police say their two police cruisers were found in the parking lot at the Even Hotel in Norwalk. After contacting hotel management, Norwalk police supervisors learned they had been in a room at the hotel. When the supervisors located the two officers, they reported both Dimeglio and Laudano were in no condition to respond to any police matter. ....

Earlier this evening, Officers Michael Dimeglio, an 8 year member of this department, and Sara Laudano, a 5 year member of this department, surrendered themselves at Norwalk Police Headquarters and were served with arrest warrants stemming from an incident that occurred on October 10, 2020.
On October 10, 2020, both officers were working in the Patrol Division. At about 12:47am, Norwalk Police Dispatch could not raise Officer Laudano on the police radio nor could they reach her on her cell phone. The Automatic Vehicle Locating system, (AVL) was checked and her vehicle was located on the map in the area of 426 Main Avenue. ....

Two Norwalk police officers have been arrested for an incident last year in which they were caught in a hotel room while on duty.
Officers Michael Dimeglio, an 8-year member of the department, and Sara Laudano, a 5-year employee, surrendered themselves at Norwalk Police Headquarters on Tuesday, Jan. 5, and were served with arrest warrants stemming from an incident that occurred on Saturday, Oct. 10, said Sgt. Sofia Gulino.
According to the police department, on Oct. 10, both officers were working in the Patrol Division. At about 12:47 a.m., Norwalk Police Dispatch could not reach Laudano on the police radio nor could they reach her on her cell phone. ....
