The 4-3 decision comes two years after an Oregon judge ruled that the commission had violated state law by denying the petition without explanation in 2018.

Marbled murrelet
SALEM, Ore. (KTVZ) The Oregon Fish and Wildlife Commission voted 4-3 Friday to reclassify the marbled murrelet from threatened to endangered under the state s Endangered Species Act.

The Oregon Endangered Species Act sets out criteria and procedural requirements that apply to the commission s determination on whether to reclassify a species.
