Mercer Island Art Walk attendees can meet ceramics artist Larry Halvorsen from 5-8 p.m. on July 7 at Clarke & Clarke Art + Artifacts, located at 7605 SE 27th St., #105. Pictured is Halvorsen’s “Flutter,” a hand-built stoneware vessel. Halvorsen is a member of the prestigious NWDC (Northwest Designer Craftartists), and his clay works have been admired and collected locally and nationally for more than 30 years and combines his interests in primitive art, ancient tools and pottery.
