The Prince George Chamber of Commerce will host its annual general meeting March 16 at the Coast Inn of the North. The meeting runs from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., with dinner with speaker Tom Steadman beginning immediately after.
â ¤Wal-Mart donates
The Prince George Wal-Mart store made a donation of $1,700 Monday to the Prince George RCMP Drug Awareness Service/UNBC Northern Timberwolves Role Model Program.
The money will help bring a select group of amateur athletes to elementary schools classrooms to speak to students about goals, peer pressure, and making good choices.
Staff at the local store raised $859 through an in-store fundraising event, and that amount was matched by Wal-Mart Canada’s home office in Mississauga. ....
