Dimapur, Oct. 20 (EMN): Power department under Mokokchung transmission division has informed that there will be total shutdown of power from October 24 to November 26 between 8 am and 4 pm daily in view of vegetation clearance of 132 kV and 66 kV transmission lines. A press release issued by executive engineer of Mokokchung transmission division, Hekaito Assumi, stated that the exercise has been necessitated to facilitate smooth execution of the works and to provide stable power supply and avoid unwarranted disruption of power supply. The department has appealed to all public in the affected areas to extend cooperation and bear with the inconveniences during the shutdown period. During the shutdown period, power supply would be disrupted in Zunheboto district from October 24 to the 29th, Tuensang district from October 31 to November 5, and Tuli sub-division, Longleng and Mon districts from November 14 to the 19th.
