The Health Officer said it is a turning point and means its time to prepare for the possibility of Widespread Community transmission. We know the virus is here present at some level. That we still do not know to what degree. An important priority for us is to conduct Public Health surveillance to determine the extent of what is happening. A phone bank has been set up with county Health Workers calling individuals to ask how they are feeling and what their temperature is. We are in the cold and flu season and we do not want to overwhelm the medical system.
