Hunterdon Scouts collect nearly 8 tons of food for local pantries Updated Dec 14, 2020; Facebook Share In early December, shopping bags began appearing at residences in Clinton, Clinton Township, Lebanon Borough and High Bridge. A note accompanying the bags let the recipients know that local Scouts would return in a week’s time to collect any food donations for local ood pantries. Spearheaded by Annandale’s Cub Scout Pack 190 with help from Boy Scout Troop 121 in Clinton and Boy Scout Troop 200 in Annandale, 4,000 bags were distributed. “‘Scouting for Food’ has always been a great way for Scouts and the community to partner together to help those in need,” said Tim Panos, Cubmaster for Pack 190. “Knowing that the local pantries are spread thin due to the pandemic, we wanted to make sure they had all of the food they needed for the holiday season.” ....
