Police said a man walked into the unidentified store on Richmond Road near Churchill Avenue North at about noon on Dec. 7, selected several items of clothing and concealed them. The suspect is described as a white man, five feet, six inches tall with a heavy build. The Ottawa Police is asking for the public’s assistance to help identify a man responsible for a commercial robbery that occurred on December 7th, 2020, in the 300 block of Richmond Road. At approximately 12:00 pm a man entered a retail store, selected several clothing items and concealed them. When the suspect was questioned by staff members, he produced a can of bear spray and threatened the staff. He fled the area with the items. Police are trying to identify a suspect in a Richmond Road robbery where store staff were allegedly threatened with bear spray.
