And it continues to be active with hail reported in santa rosa earlier today, in addition to all of that thunderstorm activity that moved through early on. If i pull you way back, you can see where that moisture is coming from, but with the cloud cover in place today, we are actually a little cooler in many spots. Take a look at napa, down by 11 degrees, down by 9 in hayward. Temperatures right now low 60s to low 100s. 79 in oakland. Low 100s reported in livermore and brentwood. Thats where we continue with the advisories. The excessive heat warning is down along the San Francisco peninsula and the north bay and east bay. Not bad. Get a little bit of a break. Thunderstorms die down, and then next wave comes through. That started late last night early this morning, and youll see this. Ive never seen backtoback storms like this. Here comes the next wave, next wave, and next wave. Look at this. So no wonder we have spot fires. Lightningsparked fires. One is he hennessy fire, and by midafternoon, it had already consumed 750 acres, according to a spokesman for cal fire. While cal fire isnt a cant say for certain it, too, was caused by a strike from the key, the flames did start during a storm. An Evacuation Order has been issued. Theres 20 residents, but theres a number of residents below that Hennessy Ridge road. Reporter it affects those who live at Hennessy Ridge road and sage canyon road from childs pope valley rode to lower childs road. Close by neighborhoods are also under evacuation warnings, standing by just in case. As of right now, we do have resources on these fires, and then using those aircraft with weather permits.
