North Carolina passes 990K total COVID-19 cases; Local areas report 41 new cases, 1 death since Friday

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving COVID-19 cases within the state.
As of Monday, there are now 847,087 PCR positive cases and 144,869 antigen positive cases, 904 people hospitalized and 12,891 COVID-19 related deaths.
That is 2,618 new total cases and 29 additional deaths from Friday.
A total of 12,921,812 total COVID-19 tests have been completed in North Carolina.

North Carolina has now decided to pause administering the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine.
The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released the following statement on Tuesday, Our primary concern is the health and safety of all North Carolinians. Out of an abundance of caution, we are following the recommendations of the FDA and CDC and have paused the administration of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine until we learn more. The safety system in place is working as it should. ....

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving COVID-19 cases within the state.
As of Saturday, there are now 759,617 PCR positive cases and 112,559 antigen positive cases, 1,179 people hospitalized and 11,502 COVID-19 related deaths.
That is 2,027 new total cases and 56 additional deaths from Friday.
A total of 10,494,762 COVID-19 tests have been completed in North Carolina.
