Bryan County Commission paves way for commercial development in north Bryan

PEMBROKE The Bryan County Commission on Jan. 12 rezoned seven parcels in north Bryan from agricultural to commercial, paving the way for commercial development in the northern end of the county.
Known individually as the Blitchton Timberland tract on Highway 80; the Herbert Warnell tract at Highway 80 and I-16, the Warnell Farm tract at Highway 80 at Olive Branch Road: the Conley tract off Eldora Road and the Davis Tract, also off Eldora Road.
The commission held the required five public hearings and several neighbors expressed concern about the rezonings and how commercial development would affect drainage, light and noise pollution. ....
