Good to have you. thank you. what s wrong with walmart doing this? walmart has a history of abusing its workers and profiting on the backs of hard working men and women. i think the norb will decide that in a number of rulings still to come, but it s very clear they re paying poverty wage level wages for their jobs and we have a serious problem with that. they re above the poverty level. you don t argue it is? it s very clear they re paying wages and they are not providing benefits to their employees in ways that lots of others do. they provide pretty nice benefits, but to you, not generous enough. definitely not generous enough. i m always saying money is money. if i m getting a million bucks, if i m bailing out, if they re going to fund a summer long martin luther king jr. series, have at it. ....
And free election. had it not been for this ridiculous, untoward intervention by government officials and it s unprecedented. when i say un-american, because the idea, i think it s unprecedented. i think we ve never seen politicians weigh in. you ve got to go back to early ugly days in american history when the government was against the working person and that s what corker want to go back to. there was blood, toil, sweat and tears spilled to create the middle class and the labor unions at forefront. maybe that s the fight we ll be in again because you have those that want to destroy the unions. 0 to destroy one of the most democratic institutions in america, i mean small d, democratic. if the norb does not rule on this quickly and get involved in this, what does this say about future elections? what does it say about the advocacy money? you know, grover norquist trying ....
Having internal discussions. the bottom line here, the republican anti-union propaganda campaign backfired big time in chattanooga. it is only one vote. volkswagen is shying away from u.s. auto production. his interference could cause a revote at the plant. of course the norb has no authority over senator corker and cannot control what he says. they can decide his comments taint the election and conceivably order a new election. i think the national labor relations board needs to get involved and order a new vote at the plant. that s only fair. there s no question that senator corker injected himself into the selection by making false and ....
if we don t have a change in policy we ll not see the job markets improve. there is fear about taxes going up and the fear of cost of obama care . fear about the norb get businesses unions. and there is a lot of fear in the business community. they will show they can make a profit. and now america is sitting at two trillion and they would like to invest. you have to have one where people think they will get a return on their invest with the president and policies we don t have that feeling. that is giving up . that number is up since sevenmillion people took over. ....
Appointments and joins us now. nice to have you back on the program. jen yarks always good to be with you. jenna: senator, looking back at recess appointment necessary general, and i see that the president has made 28 recess appointments so far in his term, but if you look at president george w. bush, at the same time in his term, he made 34 recess appointments. if we look back to president reagan, he made 240 recess appointments over his two terms in office. so what makes this any different? well, i think that is most abusive about what has happened over the last week is what s happening with those norb appointees. they didn t even come to the senate until maybe a couple weeks ago, so there s been no hearings whatsoever on these. i think that that is incredibly abusive when, again, there s not even been a chance for the senate to take them up. you have no idea whether a conformation would have gone through or not. he just decided to send a couple of folks up and have them appointe ....
