DENNIS Michael Rader resigned this week as producing artistic director at the Cape Playhouse. His resignation marks the latest of multiple leadership shifts in recent years at the historic theater and is the latest of multiple changes in leaders of area arts organizations during the pandemic.
Rader is leaving to return to directing and producing ventures in New York City, according to a statement released Friday about his departure. Calling his time at the 95-year-old playhouse an exceptional honor, Rader said that he is refocusing on new endeavors after the pandemic reframed his personal and professional goals.
