prevagen. healthier brain. better life. time now for business. and for that, let s bring in cnbc s julianna tatelbaum who joins us live from london. good morning. great to see you as always. let s talk about the markets and investors keeping a close eye on the fed. jerome powell, of course, appeared before congress yesterday. absolutely, jonathan. that was a big event for investors and interestingly, we saw u.s. equities rally on the day that we heard from the fed chair. the s&p 500 breaking a five-day losing streak. the dow jones and importantly, the tech-heavy nasdaq all trading higher. now, in his nomination testimony before the senate banking committee, fed chair jerome powell pledged to get a handle on inflation. and notably, he did not push back against the notion that we could see a rate rise in march.
