The Edgecomb School Committee is looking for a new principal at Edgecomb Eddy School. Ira Michaud notified the committee April 13 he is leaving at the end of the school year, after serving as principal for four years, to become the new principal at Nobleboro Central School. On April 21, Michaud told the Boothbay Register he accepted the job.
“The biggest reason for leaving is this is another wonderful school,” he said. “Also I missed working with seventh and eighth graders, and this is also the district where I started my administrative career.” Michaud’s wife teaches and three children attend school in Alternative Organizational Structure 93.
