The City of Tshwane’s already strained budget has been put under further pressure due to the increased use of service providers to service the city because of the on-going strike by workers.
‘All our members who may be participating in this strike, they must know it’s not sanctioned by us. Therefore, we re not going to take responsibility for their action. We have implored them to go back to work and that has been our stance,’ says Samwu national general secretary, Nkhetheni Muthavhi.
