19 Bangladeshis return from India after serving 2yrs in jail

Nineteen Bangladeshis including 17 women returned through the Benapole border in Jashore today after serving two years in jail in India.
The Indian immigration police handed them over to Benapole immigration police , said Ahsan Habib, officer-in-charge of Benapole Checkpost Immigration Police.
The victims went to India illegally in 2018 through brokers. Indian police arrested them while they were working as house help in Mumbai. Later, an Indian court sentenced them two years in jail, he said.
At the end of their jail term, Rescue Foundation, an Indian NGO, released them and put them in a shelter home, the OC said. ....
