Groups. we knew who they were. we knew where they were. and they trusted us. we were able to help prevent very highly vetted. individuals in the context of a sea of chaos, of tens of thousands. these folks that were manning the perimeter, that is what they wanted to do, anyway. it started with a handful of us who were friends with an afghan commando and special forces sergeant. we came together to help him get out of the country. we ask ourselves, okay, how do we leverage, you know, what we can do? d we knew the country very well, we had operated there for a long time. we build relationships or leverage pre-existing relationships with people we already knew inside the perimeter. the heavy lifting, often times the weight of effort, is done by local people who live in those areas, who were able to be at his eyes and ears and guide ....
