More and more vaccine doses are coming to Massachusetts.
The state saw a huge increase in its weekly vaccine supply, getting nearly 830,000 doses this week. Of that:
445,000 first and second doses will go to the state-run sites.
385,000 federal doses will be distributed to pharmacies and community health centers.
These numbers include a big, one-time boost of Johnson & Johnson with a shipment of nearly 109,000 doses.
The increase in doses comes as President Joe Biden announced he’s moving up his deadline to states for making all adults eligible for the vaccine.

With health metrics improving and mitigation measures in place across Massachusetts schools, Elementary and Secondary Commissioner Jeff Riley said Tuesday it’s time to begin the process of getting more students back into classrooms.
Riley, who joined Gov. Charlie Baker and Education Secretary James Peyser for press conference on education and COVID-19 Tuesday, told Board of Elementary and Secondary Education members that he plans to ask them in March to give him the authority to determine when hybrid and remote school models no longer count for learning hours, as part of a broader plan to return more students to physical school buildings.

A 35-year-old Boston man is dead after he was allegedly struck by a vehicle following a road rage incident on Upland Road in Belmont on Tuesday.
Now, the driver of that other vehicle, Dean Kapsalis, 54, of Hudson, has been charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and more charges are possible, according to the Middlesex District Attorney.
Belmont police responded to a 911 call at 4:22 p.m. for a man who had been hit by a car. When they arrived, they found the victim lying in the road next to the driver’s side of his Honda Civic with life-threatening injuries. Police determined that he had appeared to have been hit by a car, and he was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died, authorities said. He has not been publicly identified as authorities work to notify his family.
