Vernon, N.Y. - A Vernon couple have been arrested in the death of a 3-month-old baby.
State Police say 23-year-old Nicolas Evans and 20-year-old Alexia Davis, both from Vernon face Endangering the welfare of a child charges.
Troopers say the couple neglected the child for hours as they were allegedly using drugs. When emergency services responded to a call of an unresponsive child, they found the baby in unsafe sleeping conditions.
The child was pronounced dead at the scene.
