The Federal Emergency Management Agency began its COVID-19 vaccination work in Milwaukee on Monday.
Wisconsin has committed to providing at least 7,000 weekly vaccine doses from the state’s allocation for the FEMA site at the Wisconsin Center in downtown Milwaukee, Gov. Tony Evers said Monday. ....

In downtown Milwaukee on Monday, teachers filed out of the Wisconsin Center with grins, deep breaths, and a cheer.
For the first time, all education and child care staff were eligible to receive COVID-19 vaccinations, and  unlike in other cities  Milwaukee health workers had a supply for them. 
It feels wonderful, said Julia Grams, who has been teaching 4-year-old kindergarten virtually since September for Milwaukee Public Schools. “If this gives us the opportunity to have our children in the classroom, I can’t wait.” ....
