DataLase appoints new financial controller

UK-based connected photonic technologies company DataLase has appointed Nick Crossley to the financial controller position, reporting directly to Clare Lewis, the company’s CEO.
Crossley, a chartered accountant, has worked at all levels of company finance in a wide variety of industries, including retail, manufacturing, hospitality, property investment, sports merchandising, and the technology sector. It s a first for FEMA, FEMA s never done a program like this before, adds Nick Crossley, Hamilton County Emergency Management & Homeland Security Agency director. While an unfortunate opportunity considering what it s reimbursing, sometimes these expenses for funerals can be pretty high and so I m sure it can be helpful to families to be able to apply for this.
Qualified expenses include transfer of remains, cremation or interment costs, funeral costs, and other expenses outlined by FEMA.
People may apply by calling 844-684-6333, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
FEMA s goal, as I understand it, Crossley says, is to have people be able to talk to people about the program. They understand the trauma that people may have experienced or may still be experiencing and so they want to make sure they can talk to a person about the program and provide the information. ....

When last weekâs winter storm raged through Texas, Elizabeth Gonzalezâs family lost power for days.
They had a backup generator, which was enough to power the medical devices needed for her disabled husbandâs nightly at-home dialysis treatment and a feeding machine for her daughter who she says is mentally and physically disabled. But it wasnât large enough to power the entire house. They braved the freezing temperatures under blankets.
Eventually, the water pipes underneath her home burst, flooding the foundation below. She said she canât afford to pay the damages â or the water bill. She works full time at Walmart, and she said she has been the sole provider of her family these past two years. ....
