By WMAY Newsroom (Facebook / Sangamon County Sheriff s Office) Four people have been arrested after a drug bust in a motel room in Southern View. Police had been called to the Route 66 Motel for a report of suspected drug activity and encountered one man there in possession of methamphetamine. Based on his statements, the county DIRT team obtained a search warrant and found more meth, along with $3,000 cash and two guns, one of which had been reported stolen. The occupants of the room are facing drug charges, and additional charges are pending. They are 33-year-old Nicholas Rench, 36-year-old Michael Caldwell, 39-year-old Susan McClanahan, and 39-year-old Karen Stephens, all of Springfield. ....
