May 4, 2021 Aldo F. Copes Sr. SOUTHINGTON – Mr. Aldo F. Copes Sr., 88, of Southington, longtime resident of the East Mountain section of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Hartford Hospital. He was the widower of Ruth B. (Bly) Copes, who passed away March 11, 2020. Aldo was born in Waterbury on Nov. 7, 1932, son of the late Aldo V. and Doris (Sauer) Copes. He graduated from Southington High School, class of 1950. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict and was stationed in Germany. He was a longtime salesman at Loehmann Blasius Chevrolet Cadillac during the later part of his career after having sold Fords for 20-plus years, mostly at Crestwood Ford in Watertown. ....
