Colombian gold miner Mineros said it acquired 50% of the Luna Roja project in Nicaragua from Royal Road Minerals, taking full ownership of two mining concessions in Nicaragua.
Medellín-based Mineros agreed to pay $22.5 million in cash and promised to pay a royalty of 1.25% on all future production, it said in a securities filing on December 16. Royal Road, in turn, agreed to invest $7.5 million in Luna Roja over five years as part of a strategic alliance, Mineros said.  ....
