Our Correspondent Kohima, Oct. 19 (EMN): Defending champions Headhunters FC thrashed Chedema United FC 8-0 at the ongoing 22nd NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy being organised on the theme, ‘goal for peace’ by Angami Students’ Union on Wednesday at IG Stadium in Kohima. Dominating the game during the first pre-quarter final match, Headhunters scored a hat-trick through Samson following captain Haotinmang’s opener in the 18th minute. Chingsha and Pursunep scored a brace each to seal the victory for Headhunters, a team of the 164 Territorial Army stationed at Jakhama, to enter the quarter-final round.  Visanyüzo Kuotsu, the patron of 22nd NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Tournament handed the man of the match award to Samson of Headhunters. FIFA FC defeated Nagaland University Students’ Union (NUSU) KC with a comprehensive margin of 6-0 during the second match of the day to advance to the quarterfinals.
