Arizona GOP chair Kelli Ward faces election recount calls

Arizona Republican Party chair Kelli Ward, who has spent months alleging without substantial evidence that widespread voter fraud cost former President Trump
The party held its annual meeting last Saturday, during which she narrowly won election over opponent Sergio Arellano, a small-businessman who was an advisory board member for Latinos for Trump.
But Arellano is now requesting an audit of the race after a separate race for an at-large position drew scrutiny. In a statement posted to Twitter early Thursday, he said he doesn’t think the audit will change the outcome of the election.

Gaetz takes aim at Cheney at rally in her home state

Bipartisan group discussing Senate rules change

“I haven’t yet decided whether there’s merit to getting involved,” he said.
“I spent a lot of time on this particularly when Sen. Schumer and I were the chairman and the ranking member on Rules and he was never willing to do any of these things that would eliminate the first 60-vote hurdle or anything like that,” Blunt added.

GOP has growing Marjorie Taylor Greene problem

Pelosi herself on Thursday pummeled GOP leaders for handing Greene a seat on the Education panel.
“What I m concerned about is the Republican leadership in the House of Representatives, who was … assigning her to the Education Committee when she has mocked the killing of little children at Sandy Hook Elementary School, when she has mocked the killing of teenagers at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School,” Pelosi told reporters in the Capitol.
“What could they be thinking? Or is thinking too generous a word for what they might be doing? It s absolutely appalling,” she said.

Kaine eyes next week to file censure aiming to bar Trump from future office

Kaine is still gathering input but has drafted a resolution that would formally censure Trump. It also includes provisions that would mirror language in Section 3 of the 14th Amendment on barring officials from holding future office.
In a way I view it as kind of censure-plus because it has these two factual findings that could have the same consequence as an impeachment conviction, Kaine said. It s not just, hey you did those things and that s bad.
