盧森堡總理自主隔離傳呼吸急促住院

同為自由派的財政部長葛梅格納（Pierre Gramegna）將獲授權，負責確保政務延續，但貝特爾還是能在醫院中協調多數事務。
48歲的貝特爾5月6日曾注射一劑AZ疫苗，卻在6月27日確診而受矚。因為他在6月24日及25日赴布魯塞爾出席歐盟27成員國領袖峰會，而在峰會結束後2日篩檢確診，但當時症狀輕微，主要是發燒、頭痛，因此採取自主隔離10天，如今轉而進入醫院進一步觀察評估。

歐盟峰會後盧森堡總理確診將自主隔離10天

貝特爾在自我篩檢後呈陽性反應，隨後執行PCR檢測(聚合酶連鎖反應)確診。
據悉，貝特爾於上月已先接種過1劑AZ疫苗，原本要在本週接種第二劑。
貝特爾在會議期間，還單獨接待來訪的歐盟主席馮德萊恩（Ursula von der Leyen）。歐洲理事會主席米歇爾（Charles Michel）的發言人則表示，在歐盟峰會期間，與會人士都有遵守防疫規範。
