Suffering Lanarkshire businesses have been bailed out by vital council support during the pandemic.
So far, £60 million has been distributed to thousands of firms across South Lanarkshire, helping them meet their overheads and keep staff in challenging times.

Highland Council has launched the Temporary Business Closure Grant scheme for businesses which have had to close due to the Covid-19 measures introduced on Boxing Day.
The Closure Grant operates as a two-tiered scheme, with a grant of £2000 for premises which have a rateable value of up to and including £51,000 and a grant of £3000 for those businesses with a rateable value of £51,001 and above.

BUSINESSES in the Highlands are being encouraged to apply for a new support grant as a new near-lockdown looms.
Highland Council has paid out Business Restriction Grants of over £740,000 to 461 businesses impacted by the current Level 1 restrictions
Businesses required to close due to the Level 4 restrictions from Boxing Day will be able to apply for further Scottish Government grants early in the New Year.
