Highland Council has launched the Temporary Business Closure Grant scheme for businesses which have had to close due to the Covid-19 measures introduced on Boxing Day. The Closure Grant operates as a two-tiered scheme, with a grant of £2000 for premises which have a rateable value of up to and including £51,000 and a grant of £3000 for those businesses with a rateable value of £51,001 and above.

Highland Council has paid out Business Restriction Grants of over £740,000 to 461 businesses impacted by the current Level 1 restrictions Businesses required to close due to the Level 4 restrictions from Boxing Day will be able to apply for further Scottish Government grants early in the New Year.
