San Diego was reported to be the favorite earlier today. Kim is represented by ISE Baseball. Kim, 25, became available to MLB clubs earlier this month when his KBO team, the Kiwoom Heroes, posted him for bidding. The Padres will owe a release fee on top of the contract that will be paid directly to the Heroes. That fee will equal 20 percent of the contract’s first $25MM, 17.5 percent of the next $25MM and 15 percent of anything spent thereafter. ....
