Governor Andrew M. Cuomo just announced that Broadway will fully reopen its doors this September, in accordance with the State s health and safety guidance. Beginning May 6, and throughout May, tickets for Broadway shows - which begin September 14, 2021 - will be made available for sale at 100 percent of theater capacity. Today s announcement builds upon the reopening of performing arts and live entertainment venues at limited capacities last month and further sets the stage for Broadway shows to return to theaters throughout the fall.  ....

In addition to some big baseball stadium news, Governor Andrew Cuomo also announced on Wednesday that The Great White Way is finally coming back. Broadway has set the date of September 14th as their official reopening. Tickets, which can go on sale as soon as May 6th (that s tomorrow, yup), will be made available at 100% theater capacity.
On behalf of the nearly 100,000 people who make their living on Broadway on stage, backstage, and throughout the city and state we are immensely gratified by the support of Governor Cuomo today, said Broadway League President Charlotte St. Martin. Historic Investments In New York’s Education Systems
The State Budget takes transformational steps to increase state and federal resources to ensure that all of New York’s students receive the high quality education they deserve and that all teachers are adequately supported. The 2021-2022 State Budget: 
Provides a $1.4 billion increase in Foundation Aid and a three-year Foundation Aid phase-in that will finally fulfill a promise made in 2007 to fully fund our public schools
Provides a $105 million expansion of full-day prekindergarten, providing pre-K funding to 210 districts who don’t currently receive state-funded full-day Pre-K.

Governor Andrew Cuomo and the Legislature approved a $212 billion state budget this week, an immense spending plan bolstered by new state tax increases on the wealthy and massive federal aid, with major investments in education, infrastructure, the green economy, rent relief, benefits for undocumented immigrants, child care, and more.
