In light of nearly two dozen positive COVID-19 tests reported for more than a month, the Albertsons Market in Carlsbad continued to follow safety protocols enacted by the State of New Mexico. Twenty-three Albertsons employees tested positive for COVID-19, according to the New Mexico Environment Department. Maddy Hayden, NMED spokesperson, said 18 rapid responses were reported to her department from Nov. 24 to Dec. 29 at Albertsons. Rapid responses indicate instances of COVID-19 positive employees. Nancy Sharp, spokesperson for United Family in Lubbock, Albertsons corporate owners said they have worked closely with NMED to report COVID-19 positive cases identified through the company’s own weekly surveillance testing and those reported to them. ....
